Product Control Specialist, CIB Finance

This role is responsible for monthly reconciliation and substantiation of the balance sheet and income statement for group finance, and annually for external audit. You will help define and drive change projects that improve month-end reporting and controls, and assess on- and off-balance sheet exposures so risk is managed in line with the bank’s credit policy.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting
• CA (SA)

Experience required

• 5–7 years in product control, auditing, global markets, investment banking or transaction banking
• 5–7 years understanding information flow between front-office systems and the general ledger; ability to work with IT developers and explain requirements to non-financial people
• 5–7 years banking knowledge; preference for prior exposure to investment banking and derivative products
