As a Distribution Centre Trainee Manager, you will rotate through key operational departments within Shoprite’s world-class Supply Chain network. What You'll Do

• Operational Rotation: Work across various Supply Chain and Distribution Centre functions to master end-to-end logistics operations.

• Best Practices Execution: Learn and implement industry-leading standards in warehousing, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.

• Data & Process Analysis: Analyze operational metrics to uncover opportunities for process optimization, cost savings, and efficiency gains.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in strategic business initiatives and contribute fresh, innovative ideas to enhance supply chain performance.

• Leadership Development: Build core supervisory and decision-making skills through structured mentorship and hands-on operational leadership.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support broader company goals.

• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure continuous adherence to health, safety, quality control, and standard operating procedures.

 Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background:

• BCom in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management

• BEng in Industrial Engineering

• BCom / BSc in Operations Research or equivalent related qualifications

Key Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication capabilities.

• High proficiency in computer literacy and analytical tools.

• Sound understanding of planning, organizing, and business analysis methodologies.
