Gauteng Department of Human Settlements Internship Programme 2026–2028

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Age: 18 to 35 years old.

2. Citizenship: South African citizen residing in Gauteng Province.

3. Qualification: Relevant National Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree.

4. Prior Experience: Must not have previously participated in an internship programme.

5. Current Status: Must not currently be pursuing a qualification.

   • Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Financial Management.

2. Contract Management (X3) — Ref: 0002 (Alberton)

   • Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Management, Finance, or Law.

3. Property Management (X2) — Ref: 0003 (Head Office)

   • Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Property Management.

4. Incremental Housing (X4) — Ref: 0004 (West Rand - Krugersdorp / Tshwane - Pretoria)

   • Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or Construction Management.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting / Programme Info Management / Strategic Management (X5) — Ref: 0005 (Johannesburg)

   • Qualifications: NQF Level 7 in M&E, Commerce, Social Science, Business Management, or Public Management.

6. Financial Management & Accounting (X2) — Ref: 0006 (Alberton)
